Yakumonuri lacquerware, a traditional craft product designated by the governor of Shimane Prefecture
On Yakumonuri lacquerware, patterns are depicted with various colored lacquer, mother-of-pearl, and gold or silver powder on lacquered base material. Fine natural transparent lacquer is overlaid on it and then finished with a traditional polishing technique. As years go by, the transparent lacquer becomes clearer making the patterns more magnificent.
Wooden material is colored in russet, and cherry blossom is depicted with silver powder. Its edge is curved so that it feels good on the lips, and you can pour heated things as long as they are a drinkable temperature. You can put dessert, yogurt, soba soup as well as drinks in it.

●Do not keep immersed in water. Keep upside-down on top of a dry cloth.
●As each item is hand-made one-by-one, color and texture may differ slightly from the photos.
●Should there be no stock, item will be manufactured after order placement. It will take around 1 to 1 and a half months for it to be delivered.
