Gobelin originated from tapestries that were manufactured at factories in the suburbs of Paris in the early 15th century. The reign of Louis XIV was the heyday of their use and they were regularly used by the king and his liege lords. They are manufactured in a traditional technique of weaving a pattern only with the weft and boast a gorgeous and profound style in soothing color tones. They match both Japanese and Western styles of room improving the appearance of the interior.
