[A Rin crossing certified product] Toki, Gifu is known as a big production center of Mino ware. The new tableware brand TOKI was born in this area that has been blessed with high quality clay since ancient times. Their debut items have the theme of “time” in daily life and they have 3 table setting coordinations that fit the occasional feelings. Their items have been made in modern designs using fine clay that blend into a modern lifestyle [SANOYU] Its form was inspired by tools used in tea ceremony. Have a cup of tea in this for a relaxing afternoon moment. With a capacity of 450ml, you can brew 3 servings. In a characteristically understated matte black color and eye-catching design. [Mino Ware, Hosengama] Mino Ware, Hosengama is located in Toki, southern Gifu Prefecture, where there is naturally rich and quality clay in abundance. In the area, Mino ware has a production history of more than 1300 years. Since its establishment in 1980, this pottery has been making and selling mainly Japanese tableware for businesses. Until now, they have been involved in the production of more than 330 kinds of item, centered around Japanese tableware. [They would like, not business customers they've had until now, but regular customers to experience the splendor of Hosengama's own clay in items that can be used everyday.] In line with this sentiment, in recent years demand for Japanese tableware has increased due to a boom in Japanese food, and there are now items available aimed at overseas customers. [From now on, they want to expand and the items they make to be used both in Japan and overseas.] With this, the goal of further development has been established. [HOUSEN-NENDO] The clay used by TOKI is called Housen-Nendo. Over a period of 3 years, after repeated trial errors of the formula, using base materials such as gairome clay, Okayama porcelain stone and Shigaraki feldspar, this unique clay was born. Due to the actions of natural ores, Housen-Nendo items feel smooth to the touch and it is said that they can also relax. Please experience this artistic pottery brought about thanks to this fine clay.
