[Futachoko] A shining container that features a vivid red color. Blooms like a flower through the techniques of skilled craftsmen. A lineup of items that have traditional Edo Kiriko patterns togther with new designs. Through the techniques of skilled Edo Kiriko craftsmen, the pattern is arranged to add purely beauty to an normal shaped cup. Entirely filled with an optical pattern, right down to the bottom and to all the very edges. A wide variety of refractions are created depending on the angle. Under the light coming through the window, you really will never tire of this and will become absorbed in watching it. The lid is in a petri dish shape and loose settles on top. With its smart uninterrupted pattern it has a somewhat innocent look. This lid has also been carefully cut too. For those who like a drink or cooking, as well as those who like collecting small items. Comes in a paulownia box so it also makes the perfect present. [Edo Kiriko] Edo Kiriko has a history that goes back nearly 200 years in Edo (present-day Tokyo). This has been designated a national traditional craft of Japan where patterns are cut into glass. [Hirota Glass Co., Ltd] They design, manufacture and sell Edo Glass as well as Edo Kiriko, designated as national traditional crafts by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Hirota Glass was founded in 1899 in Tokyo and is one of the oldest glass manufacturers in Tokyo. Since before the war, Hirota Glass has been carefully handing down precious design information and skills, placing value on hand-made work when manufacturing items.
