The main Iwabu Botaori store is the only maker of Botaori textiles--a traditional craftwork from Kagawa Prefecture that dates from the Edo era.
The owner of the store, Takuo Iwabu, has slept in Botaori sheets since his birth, and knows well the quality of these fabrics. Since the founder, Tsunejirou Iwabu, changed from using silk to cotton, that wonderful feel on the skin and superlative absorbency have been available to be enjoyed in everyday life. As their customers continue to diversify, they are not passing Botaori down as a simple traditional craft, but are rather trying new ideas every day to enable these fine textiles to be enjoyed in daily life.
"Botaori fabrics are very hardy. We want you to wash them over and over and use them for a long time. Do that, and you're sure to understand the true quality of Botaori. Whether one person or many, I want people to savor the wonderful feel of the fabric."
The number of repeat customers is proof of that quality. We invite you to try it at least once. |
