Enjoy the demonstation by skilled craftsmen (Meister) and the graceful performance of maiko (Mai).
The Fureaikan is a place where Kyoto's history and the teaching of traditional craft techniques come together. In the “Meister & Mai” event held weekly, craftsmen showcase their elaborate skills in their particulat field of traditional craft,
such as Kyoto embroidery and Kyoto lacquerware. There is also free admission to Kyoto-Yuzen-wearing maiko performance called “Kisestsu no Odori”, where you can take in the graceful world of Kyoto culture.
