Early to later works all under one roof. Trace the achievements of Seiho.

The 4th installment in a series that introduces painters who were active in the Kyoto art world brings you the teacher of Shōen Uemura and pioneer of the modern Japanese art world, Seihō Takeuchi. In 1937 together with Taikan Yokoyama, Seiho was awarded the first Order of Culture.

At this exhibition, around 20 of his works, from his early days to his later years, are on display. Here is a chance to look back on works that made an indeliable mark on modern Japanese art. Some of the works on display will change.
