Long-established “Zohiko” deals with lacquerware from the Edo period. This exhibition includes Edo period hair decorations and cosmetic items from a number of different collections. By viewing the skillfully designed items such as combs and
hair decorations with auspicious omens motifs that use mak-e techniques and wonderfully lavish cosmetic items, you will be able to perceive the high aesthetic sense of women at that time.
