Uses "Kinma," a lacquer process that can be said to epitomize Kagawa lacquerware. Kinma is a process in which a surface carefully covered in multiple under, middle and upper coatings of lacquer is etched with a special needle, creating grooves which are then inlaid with colored lacquer. It must be the pinnacle of lacquerwork.
