This item won the silver prize in the TRADITIONAL JAPAN category of the "Most Charming Japanese Souvenir Contest 2011" held by the Japan Tourism Agency.
The deep black lacquer contrasts well with the gold-sprinkled lacquer grape leaf using the traditional Maki-e technique. Suitable for everyday use as well as for decoration.
