Mint native to Japan was familiar to the Japanese people during the 7th and 8th centuries by the name "Megusa." The Japanese mint used in this item is grown in the World Heritage site of Bihoro Town in Hokkaido, near the Shiretoko Peninsula. It contains more menthol than peppermint, and has a clear, refreshing scent. You can also put a few drops in your bath for a nice aroma bath.
