[Twill] Twill is a generic name for fabric that crosses diagonally. A splendid item with a traditional Edo Kiriko "arare pattern" on amber glass that exudes a nostalgic aura made by the skilled hands of downtown Tokyo artisans.
[Edo Glass] Edo Glass is a handmade traditional craft that began in the Edo Period in the Edo Region (present-day Tokyo). Glass is melted at a high temperature in a crucible and then wound on a blowing iron, where it is blown and shaped into a variety of forms by skilled craftsmen. It is a technique which has been kept alive in the region for many generations. These craftsmen use traditional methods passed on from the Edo period to create painstakingly hand-crafted class wares with classic appeal that continues to this day in modern Tokyo.
[Hirota Glass Co., Ltd] They design, manufacture and sell Edo Glass as well as Edo Kiriko, designated as national traditional crafts by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Hirota Glass was founded in 1899 in Tokyo and is one of the oldest glass manufacturers in Tokyo. Since before the war, Hirota Glass has been carefully handing down precious design information and skills, placing value on hand-made work when manufacturing items.

As there is no sealed outer packaging, wash with a mild detergent etc before use. *Wash glass tableware with a mild detergent. When doing so, do not use an abrasive sponge, scourer, cleanser, etc., as this may cause damage. (There are cleansers that you can use to clean glass tableware. Please check the descriptive labeling before using.) *Be careful when cleaning the inner side of the glass. Exerting pressure on the inner side and washing in a twisting style can cause breakage and unexpected injury. It is recommended that you use a sponge with a handle. *Do not wash in the dishwasher. *This is not tempered glass. Handle with care. *The glass is not heat resistant. Glass may break due to sudden temperature changes (especially when it suddenly becomes cold). While glass is hot, do not put in cold liquids etc or leave in a wet place. *Do not use in the microwave. *Do not put in or use to store knives, forks, spoons, etc. Scratches may cause unexpected breaking of the glass. *Scratching glass items makes them break more easily. Handle so that the item does not hit other glass items or hard items. *Stacking glass items may cause breakage etc. Do not stack glasses other than those that are designed to be stacked. [Other] *As each item is made individually by hand, shape, measurements, weight, capacity, color etc may vary slightly. *Should there be no stock, item manufacture will take place after order placement.
